MSA Celebration Day
To cap off a remarkable year in the Maths and Science Academy (MSA) and celebrate our incredible graduating 10M class, we hosted a day of festivities, reflection, and fun! The day began with a formal ceremony, attended by parents and invited guests who joined us in honouring the deep learning and growth our students experienced throughout the year. The ceremony highlighted wonderful memories and achievements of our 10M cohort, a group of students who have truly set the standard for innovation and camaraderie.
We were privileged to hear from Dr. Cindy Huang, an esteemed lecturer from Melbourne University, who inspired the cohort with her journey into engineering, science, and applied mathematics. Dr. Huang captivated us with stories of her adventures in STEM and shared invaluable insights into future pathways in these fields.
After the formalities, it was time to relax and bond over a delicious family lunch at TGIF. Teachers and students alike enjoyed great food and even better company, reflecting on the year’s achievements and memories. The fun didn’t stop there! Next, we tested our teamwork and problem-solving skills at the Hijinx Hotel, where students tackled a series of engaging challenge rooms. These activities pushed our collaborative skills to the limit and brought plenty of laughs along the way.
Finally, we wrapped up the day with a round of Holey Moley mini-golf, where students put their mathematical and engineering prowess to the test, conquering the creative and quirky courses with determination and skill. It was a fantastic celebration of an outstanding group of students and a year full of curious and powerful learning in MSA.
