We are excited to announce that our new Acting Principal, Ms. Nicole Pryor, is joining Rowville Secondary College in 2025.

At the same time, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our remarkable Principal of 8 years, Ms. Julie Kennedy.

 

Farewell to Ms. Julie Kennedy

Julie, who will be retiring after an incredible career of dedicated service, including the last 14 years at Rowville Secondary College – Julie was appointed Assistant Principal in July 2011 and was promoted to School Principal in January 2017.

Julie’s visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on our school. From implementing the One Great School philosophy and embedding our vision – Nurturing Strengths to Grow Curious and Powerful Learners – to driving the creation of our House System, Vertical Learning Mentor Groups, and new school uniforms, Julie has been at the forefront of meaningful change.

She has championed growth mindset practices, instilled our core values, and spearheaded infrastructure updates that transformed our school grounds and buildings. Most recently, she played a pivotal role in the introduction of the BPA program, ensuring that RSC continues to innovate and thrive.

Julie’s unwavering dedication and steadfast belief in the potential of every student will remain her lasting legacy. We thank Julie for her outstanding contributions to Rowville Secondary College and wish her all the best for a fulfilling and joyful retirement.

 

Welcome Ms. Nicole Pryor

Nicole brings over 14 years of experience in the principal class across multi-campus schools, most recently serving as Principal at Warragul Regional College for the past six years. With a teaching background spanning from kindergarten to university in English, Media, and Humanities, Nicole is deeply committed to delivering quality education for all students.

Her passion lies in nurturing curiosity and expanding life opportunities for young people. As a mother of two teenage boys, Nicole balances her professional life with personal interests such as reading, traveling, scuba diving, and exploring nature. She embraces the privilege of school leadership and looks forward to forming meaningful connections within the Rowville community.
